In the landscape around Malingsbo, Baggådalen and Riddarhyttan there is a mass of evidence of the ice age. Boulder-ridges and hollows made by the glaciers are prominent and easily accessible. After a walk in this terrain you will see the landscape with new eyes. There are five different hikes suggested for this area. You can travel between the points of interest by car or by cycling, but it is strongly recommended to walk around the landscape to see the evidence in the landscape. The Geology Trail is about 110 kms all told, but you yourself decide what to see. There is a brochure available in Swedish, but with charts, from the Skinnskatteberg Tourist Office.
