Nature is a fantastic resource that we have available to us and can enjoy. All you have to do is pack yourself a picnic basket and the go out and enjoy it. Go out into the forests and listen to the birds in chorus. Sit absolutely still by the waters edge and wait for a beaver to show itself. Or see where the elk has been and browsed. Wander out onto the mires and enjoy the scent of Labrador Tea and the stillness. To go out into nature is a way to escape the stresses of everyday life and wind down. Nature cannot be rushed, everything has its time. Nature is available for recreation. Be inquisitive about plant and wildlife; take time to examine a vibrant life. But show respect for nature; remember you are the guest out here!

The Law of Common Access allows you to be out in nature, but it also means you have responsibilities. Responsibility to not cause damage for the wildlife. Not so strange really. If you visit someone you also have responsibilities. You don't disturb sleeping children. You don't destroy things belonging to your hosts. Just think of these rules when you are out in the nature. A good way to think is that it shouldn't be apparent that you've been out in the nature.
Some things to think about before you go out. A map and compass can be good to have if you do not intent to follow marked trails. If you hope to understand some of the signs you see in nature it may be good to have a guide book about tracks and signs of wildlife. Out and discover nature and allow yourself to be fascinated by different places. There is so much to see out there.
